• Inmates are not permitted to directly access or control accounts on this platform, unless prohibited by the prison the individual is in. IF YOU LIVE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS YOU ARE PROHIBITED FROM USING OUR DIRECT MESSAGING SERVICES AND ALSO OUR SOCIAL MEDIA SERVICES.

• Users must be 18 years or older to create or manage an account.

1.2 Acceptable Use

• Users must comply with all federal, state, and correctional facility regulations regarding inmate correspondence.

• Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Threats, harassment, or intimidation.

  • Fraudulent activities or financial schemes.

  • Unauthorized contact with victims or restricted individuals.

  • Gang-related communications or criminal coordination.

• Accounts that violate these terms will be suspended or permanently removed.

1.3 Correctional Facility Compliance

• Users acknowledge that messages may be monitored by prison officials.

• Any communication that violates prison policies may result in account suspension and notification to authorities.

2. Privacy Policy

2.1 Data Collection

• We collect and store the following information:

  • User-provided details (e.g., name, contact information, inmate association).

  • Message content and metadata.

  • Device and location data for security purposes.

2.2 Data Sharing

• User data is not sold or shared with third-party advertisers.

• Law enforcement and correctional institutions may access data upon request to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

• Users have the right to request deletion of their data unless required to be retained by law.

2.3 Security Measures

• We implement encryption and monitoring systems to protect user data.

• Unauthorized access or hacking attempts will be reported to authorities.

3. Compliance with Prison Regulations

3.1 Correctional Oversight

• The platform works in compliance with correctional facilities to ensure all messages align with their rules.

• Any facility-requested account termination will be enforced without appeal, unless proven that claim for enforced termination has no basis or claims are false. 

3.2 Prohibited Communication

• No circumvention of prison mail policies (e.g., third-party message forwarding).

• Inmates cannot request prohibited items or engage in discussions related to escape plans, violence, or illicit activities.

4. Safety & Monitoring Policy

4.1 Content Moderation

• The platform employs automated and manual review systems to prevent illicit activity.

• Users may report suspicious or harmful content through the reporting feature.

4.2 Legal Consequences of Misuse

• Any attempts to use the platform for illegal activities may result in law enforcement involvement.

• Users who knowingly violate these policies may be banned and subject to legal action.

5. Legal Disclaimer

• This platform is not liable for messages sent between users that result in legal or correctional consequences.

• Users assume full responsibility for their participation and compliance with prison regulations.

• We reserve the right to update these policies as needed to maintain legal and security compliance.

🔐 LockedUp Love Disclaimers

1. Zero Tolerance for Harmful Content

We do not accept or forward any messages that include:

• Violence or threats of violence

• Hate speech or discriminatory language

• Victim harassment or references to criminal victims

• Gang-related codes or slang

• Sexual content that violates facility guidelines

Messages containing this content will be rejected and may be reported.

2. Respect for Facility Rules

All letters are sent in accordance with individual facility guidelines.
We do not attempt to bypass, manipulate, or override:

• Mailroom restrictions

• Contraband policies

• Required formatting

• Inmate-specific limitations

If a facility rejects a letter, we are not responsible for delays or returned mail.

3. Mail Review and Processing Times

We strive to process all messages within 3–5 business days, excluding holidays.
However, we cannot control:

• Delays caused by prison mailroom policies

• Weekends, holidays, or facility lockdowns

• Facility-specific hold or screening procedures

Please allow 7–10 business days for physical mail to be delivered from the time it leaves our hands.

4. Third-Party Responsibility

LockedUp Love is a communication forwarding service, not a legal agency, advocacy group, or investigative team.
We do not:

• Investigate claims or verify inmate details

• Guarantee delivery once mail reaches facility processing

• Provide legal advice or defense

5. Message Review Rights

We reserve the right to review, reject, or modify any content submitted to ensure it meets legal, ethical, and facility standards.
If a message is rejected:

• You will be notified

• You may revise and resubmit

• No refunds are issued for rejected content

6. Refunds and Responsibility

We are not responsible for:

• Lost mail once accepted by USPS

• Returned mail due to facility policies or incorrect info

• Changes in facility rules or inmate movement

Refunds are not provided unless an error is made on our part (ex: wrong address, printing issue).

7. Consent and Data Privacy

By using this service, you agree to:

• Share limited personal data (name, contact info, message)

• Allow us to process and forward communications on your behalf

Your data will never be sold or shared outside of the services required to fulfill your request.

By using this platform, you agree to these policies and understand that failure to comply may result in account termination and legal action.
